Original issue was that my vent control solenoid (the one that controls moving air from floor, to vent, to defrost) was stuck.
I worked on the wrong soleniod and damaged the tabs on the (temperature control) solenoid after opening it up, and then replaced it with a new one.
As far as my original issue where the vent control solenoid was bad, I replaced that solenoid too.
Now I am only getting heat when I put on HI, and AC when I put on low. Any temperature in between isnt working. So for example I can only get 85 degrees of heat or 60 degrees of cooling, but nothing in between.
Is there a way to reset the HVAC system or are there some more troubleshooting steps that I can do to resolve the issue?
When I replaced the heat control solenoid, I put it in the same position as the old one (there is a key and it only allows it to fit in one positon)
Also before all of this happened , I was able to select different temperatures, so I feel either something needs to be reset, something is in the wrong position somehow, or somehow the new solenoid has an issue.
