I got my BFG AT KO 31x10.50s today...They fit with the stock suspension with just a little rub at full lock to the right...

I am going to do the coil spacers as soon as I can, but I figure that they will be alright until I can if I adjust my driving a bit...

I have the warrior shackles for the rear, just need to find the time to put them on too...

I am so stoked right now, my truck is just pimp...

The BFG's ride alot different than my Wrangler AT/S's did. I think the size increase is playing a part in it too...

I'll take pics and post those tomorrow, it was dark by the time I finished swapping the tires.

Now I jsut have to figure out what the nasty grinding is when I let off the gas (at any speed). I am gonna have to put the stock wheels and tires back on if this keeps up....that or I'll find out that I opened a can of worms by doing this mod and I'm screwed either way...

BTW, still working on getting the pics, I have been busy trying to figure out what the grinding problem is...

Dave

P.S. I have another thread in the Tires and Wheels section if you have any suggestions.

Well how are the brake pads, when were they replaced last? Also I had some noise sounded like grinding turned out it was a wire that had frayed and broke and the wires were rubbing on the rim. You might just check and see if there is any rubbing. You may need to do some trimming if the front coils have settled substantially.

What type of ride difference is it from the Wranglers to the BFG's? Softer, or harder?

had to get new tires today!!

 I was walking around my truck today ....I just took the cover off of it because I wasn't doing anything with it lately and I drive my Bronco back and forth to work... and I noticed that my Bridgestones were really worn in the front.... they looked alright but I wasn't happy....They did, however last me almost 4 years (come this June) and 75,000 miles (most of them on road!!) ...and for a mud tire that is great!!!... I went ahead and drove over to NTB and looked around.....they had no Bridgestone M/T' s in stock nor will they be able to get them for about 3 weeks.... so I strolled over and looked over the BFG's M/T's..... they were a fairly good price!! $128 a tire !!! I found out that the new BFG M/T crawler's are coming out and they will probably still make the M/T KO's still but that the price will be going down to make way for the new ones in April... I got 32's..... just had to cut my valence a little and tomorrow or Sat I'm going to work on the inner wheel well....they rub slightly on extreme turn radius if i dont cut a little...and i guess they will badly when i air down....so it's cut ,,,cut ....cut

It turns out that I didn't tighten the lugs on the passenger rear well enough and the wheel was wobbling... I trashed the studs, lugs, and wheel...

The ride difference is hard to guage for me, because I haven't driven on it at the pressure I am going to run for the new tires. It seems to be a bit bouncier and stiff, but the added contact patch makes it react a bit better to steering I think..

Hard to compare the two tires because I jumped size and that has had a big impact on how it drives, and I don't know if it is the tires or the size change that caused it.
