my daily commute one way is about 16 miles.20 minutes in the morning.30 plus in the afternoon.im losing about a gallon of water both ways.the underside of the hood is getting soaked interstate driving.im trying to guess where the water is going.my van has been idling in the driveway for two hours.no apparent water leaks.still not overheating.

If it's a 3.0, they'll leak from the top of the timing cover, where the water pump bolts through. Went thru that this time last year!

it is a 3.0.somehow its soaking the hood liner at high rpms.how did you fix it?

I had a leak in my gto went to parts store bought the die and under black light it will show we're your leak is. If you have no oil and water mix it's external.my question is I made this mistake when I bought the pug shuttle. I changed the antifreeze for summer. Ford is an ass when it comes to bleeding air out. Now you lost coolant, filled it if there's air in the system it will blow out the over flow tube the amount you said. Brokyln explained to me on how to get that air lock out. And I've never lost a drop since.so why did you add coolest before your problem could be a simple Air problem.

Removed everything on the front of the engine to get the timing cover off. Also replaced timing chain while it was apart. Had to rent a few different pullers to remove and reinstall the fan clutch and harmonic balancer. Mine leaked on the driver side, and mostly got the ps pump and hoses wet.
