I have searched high and low through the web and the forums. I have rebuilt a trans and an engine in the past 5 or so weeks. I have put a 5r55s rebuild kit from transtar and I have installed a new solenoid block. I am running into a freaky problem though. I am having a 3rd gear flair the 2nd to 3rd shift is pretty crappy. I have rebuilt the engine as well and I have that perfect. It runs like a swiss watch. I am baffeled that I would have a shift flair after all this work though. I orignally pulled the engine and trans due to a blown head gasket and a cracked OD servo piston. I have done the servo bore sleeves and put in a shift kit as well. Not really sure where to go from here. All I can come up with now is that the bands may be out of adjustment. I am going by the book on the bands. I am also getting a solenoid a code. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you sleeve the servo bores? Did you use a new OEM solenoid body or a "remanufactured" one?

the 2-3 flair is a deff hit for the servo bores have you used the updated servos and have you changed both the inter and od servos i did both of mines with a new solenoid block (not ebay crap) and it took me only 3 hours my first time and never had a problem again. look at this site it was very helpful regarding my tranny issues and the owner was very helpful.
