I lost reverse gear after a valve body rebuild.

ok, so I put the shift kit in my a4ld. Had tires blocked and e-brake on. Put the valve body back in. Made sure I could see up into the reverse servo sleeve and see the spot where the end of the shaft hits. Thought I was doing real good. Until I tried to back up for a test drive. No reverse. What have I done?

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the transmission section. The 95 Explorer has a 4R55E. My 95 Aerostar still uses the A4LD. Did you use a 1/4" drive In/Lb torque wrench on the valve body bolts?

Something doesn't sound like its aligned right or torqued down. I hate to say it but re-torquing everything to spec would definitely eliminate a lot.
