Yeah those are the exact pictures that I need. Now comparing those to the pictures that I took, you can see how close the drop bracket is to the differential. The 2nd and 3rd pictures that I took is when the suspension is in its normal position (all the weight of the vehicle is resting on the suspension). When you look at 91Sploder's pictures, the diff seems to be almost an inch away from the bracket. So I can see where people were having problems with the TOP of the differential hitting the bracket when the suspension is almost fully compressed, but my differential is hitting the SIDE of the bracket ALL the time.
I also thought about just grinding down the bracket but there are other problems that are happening because the diff is in the wrong position.
The first problem is that with the differential pushed closer to the other axle, the slip yoke in the passenger side axle shaft is fully compressed before I can even get the two axles in place. It makes it very difficult to put the two axles in place. So now the slip yoke is constanly putting stress on the female part of the axle shaft(whatever you call that) which of course is not good.
The second problem is that the passenger side wheel base is about 2 inches shorter than the driver side wheel base.
The only way I can see any of this being fixed is if the passenger side drop bracket(so the other drop bracket that isn't pictured) is moved forward about an inch or two and moved toward the driver's side a tiny bit. This would rotate the differential forward from the differential and also toward the driver's side away from the diff.
Also,
I called Superlift several times and found out that I have the old style passengerside bracket wich caused the problems with the driver's side bracket hitting the TOP of the diff. I've found several threads from this website and other websites like the broncoII thread that Sploder found, The Ranger Station, etc, where the bracket is hitting the top of the differential. But I've never found anyone that's had my problem before. I'm still going to order the updated bracket but I'm still trying to figure out what is causing this because I don't think the new bracket will help my situation. If it does fix everything then hal-a-freakin-lu-ya!
The only thing I can think of is that my explorer in particular is just a tiny bit different in some way and is not allowing these brackets to work. I don't see how I could have installed it wrong because there's absolutly only one way to install the thing.
Finally, my last problem is that the passenger side radius arm bracket(the one that bolts into the body mount holes) doesn't have enough room to fit the big round spacer that goes on right before the outer radius arm bushing goes on. The transmission crossmember is about a half inch away from the round part of the bracket. I'll try to get a picture up later to show what I'm talking about.
I didn't mean for this to be so long and I don't expect anyone to fix all these problems, I'm just trying to get the problem out to you guys so we have more than one brain working on this stupid thing. I really appreciate everyones help and hopefully I can get this stupid thing up and running because I miss Moab really and just being able to drive, The bus really sucks!

and I think I already mentioned that I need this to drive to work every day in the summer! If it's not fixed by the middle of May, I pretty much just screwed myself. :thumbdwn:
