Ok guys just picked up a 2000 XLS 4-door 4x4 and am wanting to get it ready for offroad use.

Where can I buy:

- Winch bumper, or a brushgueard made to hold a winch
- Rock sliders
- Skids for my 2000 model, does Ford still carry 2nd gen stuff?

Does Warn make a Transformer brushguard/winch holder for my Explorer? I have a Warn 9k lbs. winch off my old XJ I want to put on.

Also just for saving space, how much can I safley crank my t-bars before the cv angles get too bad? Or can they go all the way in? How much can I gain?

I can run 31x10.50s on stock wheels correct?

Thanks, Zach

There isn't a company that make rock sliders, everyone on this site with sliders had them custom made to fit theirs. Also, you can fit 31x10.50s on stock wheels.

2" is the most you can crank your tbars before the cv's max out...warrior shackles will match the rear...also i recomend you search around the site a little and see what others have done and get some ideas about whats out there, becasue if its out there someone on here has it most likely.

Ok, so I need to build my own sliders, no biggie.

I am searching right now, learnd all about the TT,shackles, and ford 150 leaf springs, etc.

I have a place that could definately buld bumpers and sliders. The only thing is they are in NC. They make products that can take anything an X can throw at it. THey are beefy. They are making me some double tube slider thursday and I will get pictures ASAP.

Is it the Carolina rock shop?

I have owned a many a Jeep ;)

No its not. It is High Country 4wd. They have a few guys that use to work at Rock Shop. They have alot better prices than Rock Shop I think. My sliders are going to looks just like the ones Four Real Steel makes using 2 1/2 tubing with angled up 2nd bar and 4 bars going to frame. They are going to run me around 350 which in my opinion for what they are thats not bad.

A little off topic, but where in Alabama are you located at?

I can hook you up with sliders also. Can hook you up with anything really. I can use mine to measure off of if you need. Bumpers, sliders, whatever.

as for the skids... snag them off a 95-97 from a junkyard or order them from torrie at fordpartsnetwork. they came with them if i'm not mistaken. you can still get them from ford.

Jason's sliders are real nice guys. Just to let people know. They would be well worth the money paid for them.
