Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question. I was scrolling through and saw mostly how-to's but the description fits my needs. So here it is: I was dumb enough to follow some bad advice and cut all the wires on one of the plugs that go into the factory alarm/keyless entry module in the back on the driver-side. ( I was told it was the factory amp by Best Buy.) So I would like to rewire the plug, but the local auto-parts store doesn't carry pins (or whatever they're called that are in the plug that clamp onto the ends of the wires) that fit the plug. So where could I get these things and what exactly should I be asking for. Also, just because this truck loves me so much, the windows started acting up. First the rear passenger side window rolled down and not back up (on a cold rainy night). Once this happened the front passenger and rear driver side switch stop working on their respective windows, but the driver door switches work fine for all but the stuck half down rear passenger side window. Figure there must be some stupid @$$ wiring problem here and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

You're probably better off going to a junk yard and getting the plug from there.
Cut enough wire from the plug to splice the wire back on. Use shrink wrap to cover the splices. Make sure that you get it from the same year truck, so the wires will be the same color code. Good luck.

Thanks

Thank you! I have been putting this off for months now. I'm excited about the junkyard trip.

Do your best to get one from the same year, engine, etc, 'cause they change colors in the harness for no known reason...

Thanks, that will also save time. I thought making enthusiasts' lives more difficult was all the reason any manufacturer needed? Maybe I'm just a little cynical, but it seems to be the only explanation for many things they do.
