i relocated the gas pedal(?).."HOW TO" inside with pic's

ok i did it..i relocated the gas pedal..moved it forword about 2"s..im very happy with it!! here's a how to

here it is stock.

now you need to unbolt the pedal the bolt is a 12MM i think..now get the pedal out of the way..

you will have to madk 2 braket's..here's mine

now you will need to get a bolt to put threw the pedal.

here's the final product..much MUCH better then the stock spot

cause i kept hitting my foot on the floor board when i "got on it"(and that's alot with the 4.0 ohv)..so pulling out in traffic and getting up to speed fast was hard cause my foot would get stuck..so this is 10000000 times better!!!

yeah thats what i am wondering too? is this just the same as doing the throttle cable mod? basically taking out the slack in the line?

i had allredy taken the slack out of it..it did not help with my foot getting stuck..

You must have some pretty big feet. I have size 13 and I have never gotten my foot stuck.

i mean, i could gewt my foot stuck if i tried hard... i also have 13..... in my yota, the clutch pedal is a bit too of to the right, so i just compensate for it....

it must be my driving style or whatever..but my foot kept getting stuck..but every foot and truck is different..so i fixed the prob

You must not have very good mileage if you're stomping the pedal pulling out into traffic.

yeah, i stomp on it all the time..im a lead foot..im used to my dad's 5.0 explorer so it's a big change..if i cared about gas MPG i would be riding a bike

Cool. I had to do the same thing as I hammered the firewall back to make clearance for the 5.0/tranny.

Then I had to bend the acel pedal away from the brake pedal.

Works good. Nice having both pedals about the same distance from me.
