Isacc Asimov, WOW! what can you say?

Lemme rewind for a bit, I grew up as a government employee's child, as my father worked for NASA since 1963.
He like others have a strong belife in science and the beyond, although my I'm not truly like him, he did introduce me to things like Isacc Asimov, the chronicles of Dune, The Day the Earth Stood Still, seeing 2001 a Space Odessy in the theater and many other classics and not so classics.
I can remember standing outside the AMC theater in 1977 to see Star Wars for the 15th time. WOW! absolutly mind blowing, for the day.

I can also remeber sitting and listening to music for hours, upon hours on end while I was younger, one of the artist's being The Alan Parson's Project and the album "i,robot" (released 1977) baised on the story by Asimov.

I have a strong emotional bond with music, it has been a part of my life since I can ever remember, not just listening but playing it too.

I can remember listening to the music and the lyrics and trying to imagine what it must have been like to be coming of age/conscious in the world of life, and how strange it must be/is, like a child.

As many sic/fi stories, it tweeks the outer limits of your mind and makes you really wonder.

This was really cool as I rented the movie "i,robot" lastnight and again let my mind wonder into the relm of vast imagination, it was really cool to actually see some of what one could imagine hit the big screen and actually be a well put together and moving big screen show.

The thought of technology becoming conscious/aware, is thought inspiring.

Ok enough of my ramblings, if your into sci/fi flicks go rent this and check it out I give it   , one for the special effects and the other for turning a great book into a movie.

Just finished watching the movie.

This guy's comment about plugging 5 different companies in a 10 minute span is pretty stupid. Sure, you saw a few company names there, but they were all in the first 10 minutes of the movie. Did he miss the other 104 minutes? The only companies that stuck out in my mind throughout the whole movie were Converse, FedEx, Audi, and U.S. Robotics (which this ahole doesn't even mention). I completely missed the Prudential part, or what type of bike he had, the Dos Equis, and the Ovaltine. Or maybe I just didn't over-analyze ever single frame of this movie.

The JVC stereo showed up in 2 scenes, for a grand total of maybe 5 seconds of footage. Did the first scene last a second longer just so everyone saw the brand name? Maybe, but who really cares!

Audi popped up a few times because that was what he drove. I didn't hear anyone whining about Mustang plugs when Bullitt came out.

FedEx carriers showed up in the first couple of "city scapes." Oh well, that ruined the movie didn't it?

And about the Chuck Taylor's...................did they seem a little over emphasized in the movie? Yeh maybe. But again, who cares?!

I didn't read the book, so I have no frame of reference as to the movie's comparisons, but to walk away from this movie whining about the product plugs is just lame. It was a movie trying to depict a real-type situation, so some of these product names help to add a sense of reality to these scenes.

*side note: also watched Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind this weekend. if you don't mind a flic that teeders on just weird (but really isn't), it is an EXCELLENT movie!!!

I thought it was OK. Some of the action scenes were a bit cheesy. All movies have brand plugs.

Just to clarify, I haven't seen the movie. I could care less about the plugs, they gotta get paid some how. I just posted the link because I'm not the biggest Will Smith fan. I wasn't trying to bash a movie I haven't seen.

Will Smith fan here. I have enjoyed all his movies. Personally, I think Bad Boys II is the best action movie ever made.

In anycase, its just a damn movie. Just enjoy it!

I dunno. I think Bad Boys 1 was better. I liked 2 tho. I can't think of a bad Will movie.
