hey guys in the past month ive noticed increased fuel usage and alot of lagging when i hit the gas and im thinking its the throttle position sensor has anyone experienced this before and its idling poorly not too too bad but i notice that sometimes if i let it idle for about 10 mins and then shift into gear to take off once and a while itll die and have to be restarted but thats only happened three times and ive had the truck for over a year now i swapped out spark plugs changed the oil and filter and air filter it just seems like it gets to fifty and u have to floor it for it to get past that and once it does its ok any ideas?
(sorry for the run on i just need some help with this)

no check engine light...

no check engine light and my light does work but its just a constant power loss when the ac is on and alot more fuel consumption inside the city and on the highway i burn a half of a quarter tank of gass just driving 20 miles

Try cleaning the MAF sensor and Throttle body. ONLY use MAF sesnor cleaner and Throttle Body cleaner to do the job.

I don't think it is your TPS sensor, I had one go bad on my X and it was throwing the truck into failsafe mode and threw a bunch of codes.

If you have never cleaned the throttle body, that is most likely the culprit as the blowby creates a complete mess in the throttle body which gums it up.
