SO I took my intake off, and forgot to plug my IAT back into the intake tube, so I drove about 3 miles away, not knowing and with no problems, and when I went to start it back up and the check engine light was on so I headed to Advanced Auto parts to get the codes read, but before I turned the car off I hear this loud rattling noise in the engine, looked under the hood, and it was the radiator fan hitting the plastic IAT plug, so I plug i back in and turn the car off then back on and the light stays on, so I have it read and it says its my IAT, my question is, since I plugged it back in, should the light have gone off or do I have to reset it witht he code reading tool?? I inspected the plug and it looked fine.

You can disconnect the battery, have the code reset with a code scanner, or just let it be it should shut off by itself in a few drive cycles.
