When i start my 92 Explorer when its cold the the idle goes up to 1200 rpms then drops down to 800 rpms. That seems pretty normal. Once it is warm it idles steady at 1600 rpm only in park and neutral. When it is in gear it idles at 800 rpm and does not jump around. I have a Newer IAC and tried cleaning the MAF. I tried searching but I didnt find anything similar to my case.
