Does anyone know the value of the capacitor that connects to ground just besides the ingnition coil?

I think it is bust and I'm gonna try to replace it.

I'll post a picture soon.

all that is suppose to do is reduce ignition noise.

Exactly, You can drive without it and the worst it will do it put noise into your radio. I've never heard of it causing any drivability issues.

I'm gonna try skipping it and plug it straight to ground.

I'll let you know.

Mine was unplugged for a few months until I noticed it.. I noticed no ill affects.

I wouldnt do that. If you ground that wire, it will blow a fuse. It hooks up to the same wire that powers you coil pack.

Ahh thanks, I think I'd better check my schematics a bit.

I disconnected the capacitor and the car runs better,

seems that the capacitor was grounding the power to the distributor under load that at least is my theory now...

Does anyone have any thoughts on cleaning the coil pack, that is where the wires and distributor meet?

Thanks for the advice and help.
