this is something simple i know it
been putting up with it for years but winter has set in again.

I have to immediately put it in gear and drive or it will shut off.

Matter of fact will cuttoff when i am shifting from reverse to drive.

i know it has to do with some sort of chock during warm up.

any ideas which part?

Jonathan Fraser, it could be many things. It could be bad o2 sensons, dirty fuel lines, a dirty MAS or your IAT may be off. Jonathan Fraser, the best thing to do is to get it tested somewhere so you know exactly what it is. I hope this helps Jonathan Fraser.

Clean your IAC, my SOHC started crapping on my yesterday on startup, 34 degrees outside, got no codes, 15 min. job, 29 degrees this A.M, problem gone

Jonathan, have you ever had the intake manifold O-rings replaced on that SOHC engine? Search for 00M12 and 01M01 for info regarding issues/ extended warranty information on your SOHC engine.
