I'm sure you all have heard of about the BlackHawk that went down in Iraq on Friday May 9 2003 that 3 soldiers died trying to rescue a wounded child.
If not heres the story.
======================================
A US Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed in the Tigris River north of Baghdad Friday, killing three soldiers and injuring a fourth, the US military said.
The crash, which occurred at approximately 1700 GMT near the town of Sammarrah, "was not a result of hostile action," the US Central Command said.
A defense official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the helicopter may have struck high-tension power lines that were near the crash site.
The three soldiers killed in the crash were from the 4th Infantry Division, the command said in a statement.
The injured soldier, also from the 4th Infantry Division, was taken to a field hospital for treatment.
Their names were withheld pending notification of next of kin, the command said.
"The incident is under investigation," the command said.

My Sister was the wife of the pilot, Brian K. VanDusen, that was one of the three killed in the incident. he was (and is) a dear friend of mine(before marrying my sister), then became my brother-in-law. I have been sitting here for the last few days, trying to find justification for what happened. And I can only come to one conclusion.
Brian VanDusen, was a person that loved life, loved people, he never passed a person on the street without saying HI or how are you doing. He was the only man I ever met that actually believed and lived by the saying that " Life is short, enjoy it to the fullest" (he said it allot). He loved his wife and children and family, he loved his country (he volunteered for Iraq), and he loved to fly BlackHawks(that's why he joined the Army). He was an avid outdoorsmen and included family. His daughter (age5) is an accomplished motto cross rider in the 50cc class (ready to move up). His son (age3) is riding the 50cc (Governed w/out training wheels). He taught me how to Bow Hunt (even though I was scared of heights).
In the winter of 2002, he flew at night in a snow storm, because the civilian Life Star wouldn't fly, to save the life of a child that was traveling with grandparents that died in an accident. He was always there.
To my Brother and Friend, You will be missed.
I can't find the word's to describe everything you ment
to me. You will always be my HERO and my Inspiration, I Love you.......................
