In need of a good swirl remover

my 96 is plaged with spiderwebbing and im not sure from what. my idea is the chamois i use after washing it but i dont know how else to get it not spotty. so the question is how do i get rid of them. they are ugly and annoying. is it something that i need another coat of clearcoat put on or how does it work?

If you use an electric buffer (like the Porter Cable), use Menzerna Intensive Polish followed by Menzerna Final Polish. I do, and it works VERY well. It's a cutter, not filler, so it is a permanent solution.

If doing by hand try: 1Z Einesett PP, Clear Kote VM, Poorboy's PwC, or Meg's #80. Really the best way is with a PC.

I use a Porter Cable also. A good swirl remover is by 3M. Simply called 3M Swirl Mark Remover. It can be used by hand or buffer. Good stuff. In my detail I am on the 2nd coat of SG and then comes the wax. My truck is so shiney I am so impressed with the depth that I get when I look into it outside in the sun.

Soon I'm going to use some swirl remover too, probably Meguiars since we already have some, but I was thinking of using 3m. Anyways, does anyone know of some good products for both washing and drying that will not scratch the paint?!?! Because I don't want to have to swirl remove any more than I have to in the future.

Everything scratches. However, microfiber towels seem to scratch the least (less than cotton, amazingly) and 100% lambskin wash mitts are the safest on paint. Again, though, everything will scratch to a degree. It's all about light pressure and lots of water and soap when washing and light pressure with microfibers when drying.

As to car wash Poorboy's just came out with some awesome stuff I've heard, also Meg's Gold Class, Tropi-Care, Eagle One (Red Stuff), Meg's NXT to name a few. If you really want to take care of your X, do yourself a favor and checkout either detailcity or autopia.

And to add to Adam's statement, once you get it detailed, wash it with a good soft soap as not to remove your wax. Make sure to use soft clean towels and whatever you use to wash it with, must stay clean and grit free. Like don't clean your wheels while doing the body, LOL.

I'm with BBQ Hotdogs.... the 3M swirl remover is easy to find and good stuff... as their entire professional line. IMHO.
