I was wondering if its possible to put an Infinity Bass Link Sub and pair it with the stock HU. I have an '03 X XLS Sport. I already have the infinity reference 6x8s in all the doors...
I installed one myself after having some issues a while back with my old sub. Go to best buy and buy a line in convertor, around $20. Search for a wiring diagram, and buy yourself an amp wiring kit. To remove the stock HU, pry around the siler or fake wood trim. I used a butter knife, be gentle and work your way around, it will pop right off. Then there are four bolts. The convertor will tell you which colors on the convertor are what, then use the wiring diagram for the HU and splice right in. I used the clamp splicers so there was no cutting. I ran the power for the amp through the rubber boot where the steering column comes through the firewall. Run the RCA's and the and lead through the other side. The basslink comes with a wired volume remote which I mounted by my electric seat controls. I wanted everything to be stealth like. Here are some pics, I can e-mail you more if you need them. This newer version of the basslink is much better then the old. I really like it.
