install factory sub from mountaineer into explorer with standard audio system

I have an 04 explorer xlt with the standard audio system (no subwoofer). I got a factory sub and amp from an 02 mountaineer and I want to install it in the right rear quarter panel. Any suggestions as to how I go about this? Thanks! I still have factory speakers and radio btw.

You'll need the wiring harness from the radio to the amp as well as the stereo. Your stereo most likely doesn't have the plug for the amp.

While the amp housing is okay, the oe amp is pretty lame. You'd be better off buying and after market amp and even sub with a wiring kit and using it instead.
After all the effort to hook up the OE one, I think you'll be disappointed.
