I'm installing a remote/secondary transmission filter and was curious if there are any concerns/problems using this. Will the restriction created by the filter cause pressure to increase? If so, would that cause problems?

Thanks.

Rob

I wouldn't be concerned about a pressure increase. Pressure could decrease if it gets clogged. Some filters have a bypass system to prevent this from happening. These oil filters handle dirty engine oil which is much thicker in comparison to ATF.

so would that decrease be a worry? i was thinking about this....

Just make sure to install the filter so the flow is in the correct direction thru the filter housing. If you are using the type that uses an cartridge (oil) filter, there should be arrows on the housing to show the correct direction.
