Edit: (A little background. i just picked up a two wheel drive 1999 ranger for a hundred bucks with a perfect body and blown motor to satisfy my prerunner bug. i really am interested in designing a long travel kit and from everything i have read the tib is just a better suspension for desert racing.)
So I have an interesting idea about switching from the 1999 ifs suspension to the older tib style. I have been digging through desertrangers forum and this one and really cant find any solid answers. my question is how involved would it be to go to a tib system. I think it would be grinding everything down to the frame and mounting the tib connections and installing a first gen steering box. but i cannot find any write ups on the subject.
Thanks in advance for help
