Interior Dome And Map Lights How To Open & Replace

Hi there I have an 08 explorer eb and was wondering if someone could let me know how to open all the interior light covers so i can replace them. My explorer has sunroof, rear ac controls and rear dvd if it matters at all. And if you could let me know how many of each type of bulb is needed. I want to replace with led so thats why I need to know. Thanks

Hi spencer

I was just opening them to check the bulbs since I have other issues with tem. But I just used a flat scredriver and lightly pry on the glass/plastic cover and there are clips that hold them in place. Be gentle as you do not want to break those tabs.

That's pretty much it Spencer, just get a small flat head screw driver and gently pry them down. I would suggest spending the money for brand name led's because there is a big difference in quality.
