The iPhone can sometimes have difficulty holding a Bluetooth connection. If your iPhone has a problem reliably holding any Bluetooth connection, try reverse pairing.

For MFT/SYNC, reverse pairing works as described below. With reverse pairing, MFT looks for the phone instead of the iPhone looking for MFT.

First perform a MFT Master Reset:

MENU > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > MASTER RESET

Then follow these steps for Reverse Pairing:

1. Press the Add Phone button in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. Press the Find Devices button near the bottom of the screen.

3. Set your phone's Bluetooth to "Discoverable Mode" (so the iPhone is always discoverable)

4. SYNC will search and display the name of your phone on the screen, then press the tab that displays the name of your phone

5. Enter a pass key "1234" (or whatever numbers you choose) using the key pad displayed on the screen, and press "Enter", your screen will say "Pairing"

6. Your phone will ask for a PIN number, enter the same one you have entered on your screen, "1234", and press "OK" button on your phone

7. After pressing OK or Enter on the phone, the BT connection will attempt to be made.
