No, it's not safe to drive.

It's better to cover my ass, and say "no", than to risk legal action in the future.

BTW: why the "I can only type in CAPS", can't recognize lower-case alphabet/broken keyboard....?

pm sent.

If you're worried about covering your ars why answer ........ and answer wrong.

A lot of off-roaders have removed the links completely, a lot of folks have broken ones they don't even find for months.

Is it preferred ........... no.

Is it unsafe until repaired in a reasonable time frame ............. no.

its fine to drive. It will just have more side to side motion when cornering.

i have been driving my lifted Ex with no front sway bar link on the passenger side for about 4 months now, with no issues,
just go slower in corners and be careful with lane changes at highway speeds, it will just tip a bit more,

thanks, I understand now.

No one bothers to reply, but when I repy with a "wrong" answer.....

reason for my answer:
what if their son is driving today, tries to make an evasive manouver, crashes/rolls due to lack of stability, who's at fault for saying the truck was fine to drive?

Removing sway bars may be fine, but you also need to be aware of the consequences, and adjust driving style for them.

i really doesn't make that much of a difference, but allowing him to use it is up to your discretion, if he doesn't understand than maybe he shouldn't drive it,
i know the liability goes right back to you, so maybe you have to make that decision , or get to autozone right away and get a new link, they are cheap, cheaper than a writeoff or a son,

Why not have your son change it? If he is old enough to be driving, then he should be able to change a front sway bar link. They cost about $15 at the part store, and should take under an hour to do. The biggest problem is if the nut is rusted on, then you'll have to cut the old one off, but that can be done with a sawzall, or even a hacksaw (if you want a good workout).

Thanks all for the responses to carguy3j we do not have the proper tool’s or location to do the repair i found local shop that will be doing the repair thanks again for your help, and have a good weekend.

It might drive like a 1960's boat, uh I mean car.

Everyone has different driving skills. Just don't drive it like a race car.

My anti-sway bars have been off my truck for years. It sways like a mother???? right now but that's only because I need new shocks. :D

Sorry if I offended you bdmaash. Not intentional but when you're worried about CYA why would you answer? Just saying.

No one bothers to reply, but when I reply with a "wrong" answer.....

The original post was at 11:49 PM, you answered at 1:35 AM. That's not exactly a "nobody bothers to reply" situation IMO. BXTF and I are good friends but I ain't sitting up all night to see if he posts. My days start REAL early.

Thanks for jumping in with a reply in those early morning hours.
