Hey guys

I have a 98 2 door with a 3" body lift runing on 31" tires.

When I'm driving around it is noticably harder to steer than the stock 98 4 door that I also have. It's not like the pump is dead or anything, but there is definitely more resistance. Additionally when I am on the highway in a windy spot I kinda need to fight with the steering wheel to keep going straight where I don't really have that problem on the 4 door.

I recently replaced the rack/pinion, inner/outer arms, and ends and had the whole thing balanced so it's not misaligned or loose down there

I'm just kinda wondering if this is caused by the bigger tires or if I might need to look at replacing my power steering pump.

Also, if this is a pump thing, is there an oversized pump I can buy?

How wide are those 31s, and what’s your rim width and backpacking if nonstock?

They are 31*10.5 on the stock 15"aluminum wheels. No spacers or anything.

Ah okay, just trying to think of possibilities. That combo shouldn’t really have much negative effect at all.

I know you got it aligned but, would measure my toe-in. If there is zero toe-in or toe-out it will wander and be all over instead of tracking strait.................This can be measured at the front and back of the tires with the tires pointed strait on a level surface. I run mine a 3/16" toe-in measured at the sidewall front and aft.
