Is there a trans pan drain plug?

Is there a drain plug in the trans pan? If so, where is the plug located? How much fluid will drain out when the plug is removed?

Does it have a shallow pan, or a deep pan?

2000 Explorer, 6 cyl, 4.0L, SOHC, 5-speed trans.

There is no plug, but you should add one. 4WD has a deeper pan, IIRC.
About 4.5 quarts will drain from the pan. YMMV
