Sound is very subjective. Many people don't like Sony products for car audio but others love it. The JL is generally accepted as a great brand. The stock speakers obviously will be your bottleneck though. For an extra 100 bucks or so you can get new component speakers and make it sound much better.

That Sony amp only puts out 1000 watts, for one millisecond, right after it is struck by lightning.

Expect more like an RMS of 165 Watts x 2...

Go for a different amplifier... Also, make sure you can wire the 3 subs correctly for the correct resistance load.. Some can, some can't. All depends on your amp.

any recommendations for amps and will everything sound straight with stock speakers

As far as amps...get what you can afford. Sony works..but dont believe the rated power its usually maximum power at maximum noise level...which is NOT what you want. Look to better series Hifonics,Infinity,Alpine, JBL...etc

What ohm rating are your 12w0? They are either 4, 8, or 12 ohm. So three of them would give you either 1.33, or 2.67, or 4 ohm (all in parallel)
The 12w0 are rated for 125 rms or 250 peak each. So 375 rms or 750 peak combined.

Which Sony amp? 2 channel or mono?

So depending on the ohm rating of the subs and which Sony amp, you maybe okay.

If I were you and I could afford it the JL Audio 500/1 would be a perfect amp, no matter which ohm the subs were.
