Jade Pearl Update/Build Log

Great pics, ant the skull shows up nicely! Do you ever worry about snagging that chain on an obstacle? Also looking forward to Deathrow's resurrection!
I do a bit, aint taken her offroad enough to worry about the chain yet; but a quick zip tie cut for the thicker chain (bottom) and a simple disconnect on the thinner chain (top) and it pops right off if I think it's going to be a problem. So not too worried about snagging chains yet, plus after the lift and tires, not sure how likely they are to snag anyway since it'll going up about 8"s! So am I, be nice to be able to drive her around again! A lot of work and planning to do though: gotta get this rig setup and running good to tow, officially moving north this fall so I have a lot of packing and planning on that, plus planning everything I need for the V8 swap on the X (probably just change the fluids, throw a battery in, and call it a day till I get it up north; she should still run currently). So much to do and so little time!

And the winch is finally operational, was way more annoying of a process than it should have been, but she works! Now back to the engine misfire and mpg issues. But my dad was clearing out some old stuff, and now I have yet another light project, swear this never ends, wont be starting that one for a good while, the lift and engine come first for sure. Once a couple of paychecks have made their way to me finally, I'll be updating a bit more on things

Well, its official, got my first real paycheck again! Got new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, throttle body spacer, and k&n air intake on the way! Hopefully bring some mileage and power back with maybe even some gain, especially running without a misfire will finally be nice! Should be in sometime mid next week, so I should be able to do some of it before work in the mornings or do most of it the Sunday or Monday after when I'm off.

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and spacer are all in, pretty much just waiting on the air intake now.
But I messed around with another old project some of y'all may remember me grabbing last year. May not be too difficult afterall. Figured out that the guy who sold it to me was partially inaccurate, some of the lights didn't work for sure, but it was just the bulbs, sockets seem to work fine. So I just need to sand and paint it, that and get more green leds, though the black lights look pretty good in it lol

Air intake in, bottom plate is literally just the one I had before only cut down now. The kit didnt come with a bottom plate and the one I ordered dont fit as advertised, so I improvised, lil' before and after lol

And yes, the top plate is upside down, just looks nicer to me like that than it does down, or maybe I'm used to having the lid flipped like before anyway, probably flip it back over later, but that's one less thing, now back to the spark plugs and all probably this weekend.

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor all in! Decided to hold off on the throttle body spacer for today, just to double check I wont need to extend any fuel lines or anything. Got a few other projects I'll be messing with today, but that was the big one

Two updates in the same day, would ya look at that! Rigged up that second half of the strip to the other one to make the kitt light a bit bigger like it was in the show, which I aint too bad looking. I'll get some pictures and video tonight of it

Anyone got suggestions for some good 3" pod lights by the way? Preferably with both white and amber, strobe options are a plus; one of my rgb ones just randomly gave out, and it's a weird kind of given out, so I'm working on replacing them with something that'll probably be a bit brighter and work better in fog

And just as said, small video of the two going together, both with and without the running lights, really loving having the lack of blinker drls again

Oh that'll be sick! Ive debated a time or two on trying to go further into mine, like a custom interior. curious if he'll build most if it or order it

Another thing done, throttle body spacer is in. I'll be test driving it in a lil' bit before work, but already the throttle response just revving it is incredible compared to before.

Just ordered everything to swap my master cylinder out for the next gen Silverado one, which will seriously improve my braking from what I've heard, wont be this weekend but maybe the weekend after that I do my brake overall finally, still may wait and do everything at the same time, have to take it all apart for the lift anyway. Definitely more to come, hoping to get all of it done before fall hits, if all goes well, I should be able to get the tires by the around end of July.

Another light project setup, may not be fully done but it's pretty much, next comes soldering it all together which will be a serious hassle, save that for another night! lol

Brake upgrades will be officially in the works probably next weekend now that I've got everything in! I should finally have both pedals nice and stiff, no more sponges! lol

Well, my truck has been being put off as I help a friend with her wreck, so just minor stuff has been done, like some soldering on that board in the last post. Biggest thing I've done is some splash guards/body lift fillers. Not fully done but they're up and off the tires, I got one front one done, but still need to do the other side, and other than the fact that they ain't faded like the rest of the truck, dont think they look too bad.

Got the new trans cooler on the way though, same with some tow mirrors, so one of these days/weekends is going to have a fun kick.

Got my friends car fixed up, also finished up my body fillers, which ain't too bad if I say so myself, ain't perfect and still got some touching up to do especially for the mounting, but they work and stay off the tires which was the major concern. Also got my tow mirrors in, ain't wired up fully yet but they ain't too bad looking which I worried about. They'll actually flow sequentially like my main blinkers do, which should look nice when finished.

Also, side note, about 3-4 weeks I may be finally ordering tires, should be about 2 paychecks probably before I can safely do so. But I do think I may run 35s to be on the safe side, talked to a few people and my plan for 37s would probably be okay, but my 10 bolt axle ain't going to like it, so due to the fact I'll be doing a decent amount of towing later and such, I'll stick with 35s for the sake of less stress and headaches. And besides, if I find the stronger 14 bolt axle later on, I can always go ahead with the 5" lift for Deathrow and throw the 35s on there and get new 37s for Jade then when its safer lol

Nice! What is the material you used for the wheel wells? One of mine is shot and like the idea.

It was just a rubber floor mat for like for a garage. Came with plenty in the roll to finish all 4 and pretty easy to cut up. Can find 'em at lowes and probably home depot

Apologize for the lack of updates as of late, been way too busy for my liking and putting too much other crap off that's now catching up with me. But on a side note, 37x13.5r17s have arrived, wheels and all. So it shouldn't be too much longer now I hope, though works been slow and cutting back hours due to that so pay ain't what it used to be, so it may take me longer than planned. Still less than a month I'd 'bout guarantee
