Jakee's 4.0 SOHC Build up discussion and motivation thread

Do you have a wideband for the remote tuning?

To be remote tuned I will sell a customer a LC-1 and the necessary cables to log through thier ExCal2. If someone has a wideband of thier own we can use thiers so they don't have to purchase another. If someone wants me to come tune thier vehicle on location then I will use my FAST wideband to tune them. I will not loan out my personal wideband, though.

Hey James - Since I started this and got this race, can I have half the money you win?

Kinda hairy for me!

James, you have been married for a while too; I am sure you have had to experience the hairiness when the wife gets lazy on occassion. :D

Grooming instructions are a must for significant others. ;)

I'm up for a race...you did say you'd race a Chevy for money, right? When and where?

We'll, since that's probably not yours (Your roomates) I'll race that beast with my friends lightning.

I would race that car for money. :D After all if he isn't having to run around on DR's then he doesn't have much done. And if he does have allot done and isn't running DR's then he would not hook worth a crap so yes, I would take that bet as well as the money.

are you gonna throw on a electric supercharger first?

You are a new guy so I will only ask this once. Are you being ****y or are you just joking?

Okay lets make this fair, you can only race what you own so be prepared to show your license and registration at the race :D. As for me, you guys can pick if you want to race me in an Explorer that drives like a boat, a 15-passenger diesel E-350 that accelerates like a boat (until the turbo kicks in), or a Civic that throws P0180 :D. Oh and I also have two bicycles, you can pick from the Specialized Enduro Comp, or the Specialized BigHit :)

Oh and I have a perfect idea for how much one is required to throw into the pot -- the tire PSI. So ideally you'd want to run as low pressure as possible JUST to keep the bead from popping and spinning the wheels, unless of course you have locks :)

i'm just joking, but i think it would be extreamly funny that would probaily cause you tons of lag.
the only thing i do with my mounty is pull my boat and pull my cousin's jet ski and look good doing it. the mods i did was to keep my egts lower while towing and to get me back up the ramp when the boat is straped to the trailer

It's a vehicle in the house, and I have a set of keys to it, so I consider it partially mine (just as he has a set of keys to my ST). Just thought I'd throw some laughs into the thread, since there was fun talk of racing Chevys. It has a set of slicks in the storage shed. Longtubes/straight pipes, heads, cam, all that goodness, and a little switch that's good for another 135hp. Runs mid 11s on a good night, low 12s on a bad one.

Hehehehe, partially yours? Oh man you are just as bad as a child in grade school claiming their parents house is theirs. My wife has a Jeep Cherokee and I have a set of her keys but I do not consider it mine. My buddy also has his 5.0 X that I am doing an engine build on that is residing in my garage to which I have the keys. I guess that is mine too? Hehehehehe.

That guy will need that pill and those slicks on the Camaro if he ever played with KBX. ;) The Ford vs Chevy debate will continue on for years. It really is too bad because it clouds the otherwise really enjoyable sport of dragracing with people talking badly about others rides for no good reason.

Exactly, talk is cheap, lets run the track and let the numbers speak for themselves :D

Really, cause my parents share vehicles, and depending on what they're doing they'll drive what they need, it's called "sharing" (my dad's truck is in my mom's name, and my mom's car is in my dad's name).

Me and Steve share vehicles; he needs to tow the sea doo or trailer, he can take my truck, no questions asked. I feel like taking his car to the store, no biggie. Been my best friend for around 9 years now (almost half my life). I need his car for whatever reason (not that I ever NEED it, lol) and I can take it. BTW, I own the place where he pays rent, and he has a key, is this place partially his? Or am I just a nice guy allowing him to live here?

As for the Ford/Chevy debate, I'd much rather rock a Mustang over a Camaro, but seeing as I have access to the latter, I can deal. I wasn't trying to settle the debate, merely throw gasoline on the fire, :p: and as soon as I posted a pic of something faster (that I have access to and can drive whenever I feel like) than all but maybe a few vehicles on here, everyone comes out and says you need paperwork in hand to race.

No wonder this thread crashed and burned, everyone's lost their sense of humor...that being said...

jtsmith - not a Chevy or Ford (point of the whole debate)
Jakee - bring on the Lightning (Steve asked how many lengths are you gonna need?) :D

The lightning is not stock my freind. It would be a good race with what you said your friend has. Who knows? But, you're in Al and I wouldn't drive all the way over there to race my friends truck (Even thought he'd give me the keys in a second)

One thing I will do. I will take my X to alabama (just like I said months back) and race YOU for fun at the track. You can have your nitrous going too, I totally thing you should have it going by then.. :)

But, I'm not talking crap, I just do this for fun; the "Trash" talking makes it interesting but I try and keep in at a min.

This thread went to the crapper a long time ago because of me and me only. I lost focus, said some things, and they didn't happen as I planned. Oh well, maybe I'll redeem this thread someday.

We haven't lost a sence of humar here AU01st. Me personally, I'm trying to figure you out. When your friends are over here from the ST forum, you are one way. When there not, you are another way? I'm not sure who you are anymore, but I'm not worried about it too much.

I'm pretty sure I'm the same.

I'd love to race another Explorer, or anything, I don't care, I just love going fast.

Make it interesting; race for "pink slips'.

Maybe you will be on the TV show.
