If I were to put a 2.5 inch james duff lift on my stock 94 explorer....what is the largest size tire I can run and widest to...maybe a 31x13.50?? Also is James duff a good lift?? How is the ride quality. I would llke to buy a lift to run 31's on my explorer buy not comfort driving on the highway

anybody have any suggestion...im open to eveything

The JD 2.5" lift is great. I have had mine on my truck for a year now, and logged nearly 30,000 miles. Rides well, however the rear is stiffer because of the add-a-leaf. Search some of the earlier strings for more info.

I am not sure on the 31x13.50 tires. I have 32x11.50 BFG's which rub slightly on the radius arms.

Ryan,
I'm working on an extensive article/review of the James Duff 2.5" lift (actually its an article on lifting a 92 XLT)..

I wrote a message right after I finished installing the lift. Search for Ramblings and my name in this conference to see what I said. There are some things that are not right about the kit that aren't big problems if you know about them ahead of time..
