Both are cool, but I hope he got the Lightning just because he'd never get the Raptor dirty. The Lightning is at least suppose to stay clean.

Well, the unthinkable has reared it's ugly head again. I went to the dealer, since I know the guy who had traded the Lightning in. He bought a Raptor. Unknown to me, it was that Raptor.
Apparently, the Raptor has 21k on it, and it's a 2010. I thought the whole thing was odd, being that now I know he traded his Lightning on a Raptor, then put 21k on it, and traded it in.
So I was all OVER the truck underneath. There were a lot of bolts on the passenger side that seemed to be newer. Odd. Hmmm...
So I left, called the guy, and asked him what the skinny was. He said "if I were you, I wouldn't want it. I was on a nice baja run, and folded the front wheel back, and blew out the right front suspension, and a bunch of stuff under it." They wanted $39k for it. Said they'd take $34k today.
I couldn't get it under that knowledge...
I did drive the Lightning (which they want $20k for) but, eh, honestly- after driving some of my old drag cars, it didn't seem that fast to me, and I don't want to get into modding another fast vehicle.
So, I'm back to the Wedge, and the Cammy. Much ado about nothing...

If they would have gotten closer to $30 and it didn't have the issues it did, I would have put it in the driveway... Oh well. What could have been...
I hate to break the news to you, Joe, but you're not going to find a Raptor for $30.00.

Nah, the exercise is dead, it was more of a whim since they had one there, I don't see me pursuing any further unless I fall into something. That's kind of how I buy cars anyway...
