It's not a good weekend if you aren't on the trails or on the lake!

Still have plenty of time to submit or post some summer time fun! Can't have a chance to win an one year elite membership of you don't. Reminder: it is a random drawing selection, so just post media for a chance!

Sorry for my flood of photos, I hope you like some of them

This is my travel 4x4 for the summer time, a very efficient turbo diesel :)

The red one on the right side was my travel buddy for 6 years before I bought my Explorer, I traveleed in this car both winter and summer

It was very reliable but too small now

This is the view from the largest hydropower dam in northern europe, its in east Iceland and mainly powers an aluminum smelting plant where probably much of automotive aluminum is smelted :)

I was very sad when this dam was made, because the dug down river valleys like this one downside off the dam were for tens of miles upstream also, but all you see there now is muddy water

Here is where they dug a hole to plant the generator room for another hydropower plant, amazing amount of work!

This is a crack in a hillside you can walk between, very scary but an amazing experience, you really cope with how small one person is compared to mother nature there! South-west Iceland

This was my 1986 Subaru Loyale GL, 4wd with a hi and low range transmission, this car was as much a jeep as any! It went everywhere

This one is taken 6 weeks ago, near glacier Gígjökull, which is part of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull that grounded air traffic in all of europe in 2011 during a volcanic eruption

I have to comment on your route.

A friend of mine has one of the longest commutes in the nation right now. He lives in Florida, and works in Alaska, commuting regularly

Ya I work on the north slope. One end of the state to the other every three weeks. Quite a few people I work with live out of state also.

It's not as long of a commute, but my lieutenant at my old volunteer fire house lives in the suburbs north of Washington DC, and works at the corporate offices for Google in the San Francisco Bay area.
