Bought it yesterday, and have nothing but good things to say about it. It has the 5.0, AWD, 3.73 LS, message center, overhead console, and those cool buttons on the steering wheel. It has 58,000 miles and was $11,900 before taxes at the dealer.

I love it, it has gobs more power than my '93 4.0. It sounds pretty badass, too. I have a few questions, though.

1) It came from the dealer with different tires on the front than the rear, but are the same size and brand and have almost the same amount of tread left, would this cause any problems with the AWD?

2) Is the 5.0 one of the motors to use 5W-20?

3) I really would like to put some kind of aftermarket exhaust setup on it. Any recommendations? True duals worth the money?

1) With the AWD, the tires need to be the same diameter. Thats it.

2) 5w-30

3) Go true duals - you're already half way there. The v8s are duals all the way to the muffler. Get a dual in/dual out flowmaster 50 from a custom shop.

Should I get 2 single-in/single-out mufflers or just 1 dual-in/dual out? I really like the look of the dual exhaust but wouldn't it sound better if there was one muffler for each pipe?

i have a 2000 mounty myself and just recently put in a K&N filter on it

on the message center it states im getting nearly 3mpg better then what i used to, and with gas prices the way they are, that filter will start to pay itself off in less then 2500 miles

Congrats dude! Swell truck!
