I have a full air filter re-charge kit from K&N. I wonder if I can use this on my Blue Volant filter?

You can use any degreaser you want to clean any cleanable filter. I found this out after I bought the recharge kit. Your better off dollar wise just buying the filter oil and using something like simple green.
So yes you can use it no problem

All the cleaners are the same. So are the oils. K&N is red. AFE (Volant) is blue. Green (you guessed it). On Green's site they tell you not to use different oils because it will "discolour" your filter. LMAO. Funny thing is, they also sell oils in different colours so you can "customize" the colour of your filter. Go figger. I actually had my blue Volant/AFE filter as red (K&N) for a while before I stumbled across an AFE kit and went with blue. I was told that the guy that started AFE was with K&N an pretty much uses the same materials to make their filters. I'd imagine the formula on the oil is identical too.

Score an Amsoil and stick with blue no matter what. :D

I assume blue as in the color of the Amsoil filter? Not the color of an oil, since the Amsoil filter is oilless.

AGREED. I actually found Simple Green to be more effective than the K&N cleaner.

Thanks for the great replies :D
