it is a new locking cylinder and it doesn't have the detents in it and you have to get it just right to get the key out. what a pain in the chev. it finally stopped snowing and is melting off fast so i can go work on it tomorrow. i just need to throw some plywood down so i don't have to kneel in the mud. i replaced the ign switch when i replaced the locking cylinder, i wonder if there is a correlation.. how do i reset the ign switch?

got it fixed. took the new ign switch out and left it hooked up and pushed the plunger in until the dash lite up then backed it up one click and bolted it in. works great. i just broke the tab for the key in the switch and the holder for the shift indicator as well.
