Have a problem this morning, due I think to the fob button being hit a couple of times while doors were open, in that now the locks aren't working automatically from the fob, tho it still chirps as if they are, and the windows all stopped working.....Is there a good explanation of how the security system works ,or is meant to work somewhere? The Haynes I bought is completely useless on the subject...

Thanks, Dean

You should try resetting the key fob.. Not sure why your windows would stop working though.

Thanks for the reply, does battery disconnection do any resetting in these vehicles?

Well yeah, it will reset everything. Key fobs, not sure. You reprogram those by cycling your ignition on to off 5 or 8 times depending on the year, then when the doors lock and unlock hit a button on the fob.

And it ends up being Fuse 10 under the hood, 30A does the locks and the windows, all ok now....neither the handbook or manual i have tells you what fuse controls the windows...

I'm glad it was a simple fuse
