Keyless Entry Programming

Hi again, I bought some keyless entry remotes and I've been trying to get the car to go into programming mode by turning the ignition off and to run 8 times. The car doesn't go into programming mode, I know there's a way to enable keyless entry in FORScan but I don't know what to modify in FORScan.

Do I *have* to add the hood switch to enable keyless entry? I really don't care for the remote start on the vehicle.
