hello, my question- years ago while on a job had my keys in my tool belt and when i pulled a tool out keys came with it, thats not the problem i was in a boom lift 5 stories u get the rest. so went to a ford dealership to buy a remote but NO ONE NEW HOW TO PROGRAM IT. went to 2nd dealer and someone said to sit in the car with windows up, doors locked and insert key in ignition and keep turning from off to start without starting the car. is that true or false. by the way both dealers wanted to charge $85 frekin dollars to install the new remote.

The procedure is similar to that on my '02. I am not familiar with the '94. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about the 1st Gen's will chime in.

On my 2002 Mounty I put key in ignition ant turned to On. Then OFF to ON 8 times. On 8th time to ON locks will click twice. Immediately press a button on remote. Remove key and test remote. And dealer wants 85 bucks for 15 seconds of work.
