...Well, I didn't have a problem with my MAF on my 94 X and without a picture, I couldn't begin to guess what bolt you broke where...:dunno:

...Maybe someone else will jump in to help answer your questions...

I have been on the fence about this. Based on all these great reviews, I guess its time to take the leap. Should coincide nicely with the Magnaflow I just installed. BTW - Ebay motors is offering a 15% off coupon till Aprill 2nd. Brings the intake cost down to about $115.

Do you have a coupon code you could share?

Ok.... Just installed my intake. and to paraphraise it..... I LOVE THIS FRIGGIN THING!

The sound, the look, the ease of instillation (for the mst part) and the affect on driving make it a great value.

First off, the instillation took me about 30 minutes, mainly because the instructions dont explain in enough detail how to remove the stock air box, so im going to post a quick picture tutorial for anyone else who might need it.

the kit includes the intake, instructions, a support bar, and some washers. The instructions are great until it starts talking about removing the lower half of the airbox, which is held in place mainly by two rubber "lugs". These things suck because theyre rubber, and they fit snuggly into the steel running along the fender. Not only that but you have to lift the box up and out at the same time, using a lot of force to get these stupid things out of their little hole. (see the pictures so see what im talkng about).

The trick is not to be shy about putting all of your weight into this box and youll be done in no time.

After that the instructions are great and it takes about 3 minutes to get it all hooked up and going. if anyone needs, i can post more pictures, but thats all i think youll need.

I have some questions about this. I have aswell been on the fence about the intake. I really want one in my 06 4.0 v6 but from the pictures can all those exposed wires get damaged by rain and dirt and sand and stuff. I tow a lot and I go off roading occasionally.

I Just put on on my 2006 v6 yesterday......

now I already have magnflow & sct.....

with idle speed tuned high....my truck move quickly without my foot on the gas(unlike stock it usually sit there)

so with kkm tru rev- you will get a excellent throttle response
and power that your truck lost from that quiet hot stock intake box
I mean my V6 XLT jump quicker than my 06 MUSTANG GT!! no lie

oh yeah!!!

I've just ordered one for my 07 4.6 sport trac.

I'm not overly worried about performance gain as IMHO it is just a truck, but I would like to hear those V8 vocals which everyone loves on the mustangs and the expo really deserves.

Has anyone put an exhaust on the V8 yet? Concerned about the noise levels as something I like about the 07's is the fact they are quiet around town and highway cruising, I would just like a bit more noise when you push to the carpet!!!!

I have a different intake than you do (See Sig) but I have changed my exhasut. There is a video on my Cardomina site...you can check it out in my sig!

Thought I would join the band wagon...just ordered the KKM for my 01 ST. Already have a Flowmaster and have been using a K&N air filter for several years. That filter added about 2mpg to my truck...hopefully the KKM will not take that away.

Kkm

I just installed a KKM intake last week. Man what a difference! besides the sound i picked up about 2 MPH.

So is this KKM MAF a different size or same as stock?

The only thing I can think that woudl make it better than stock is teh MAF Size...

Honestly the stock airbox design is pretty sufficient when driving! So I don't see where the extra gain comes from!

Installed my KKM on Thursday and made a road trip to Wilmington, NC Saturday. The ST definitely runs much better and has better pickup. I did not see much in the way of increased MPG...

Sounds better with my Flowmaster...and can really hear the air being sucked in...

I ordered the Pre-filter wrap...does anyone else have that? I assume it will not hinder air intake but I figured it would make it easier to clean.

im really considering buying one for my 06 mountaineer v6 but does anybody have one on a 06 mountaineer? and if so how is it? im sure its worth it but might as well check first

Just put mine on yesterday on my 95 sport. It wont shed seconds of your 0-60 but it sure sounds good after 2000rpm but pretty quiet before that. The biggest difference I could tell was that at 70mph on the highway I was a little under my usual rpm's but mainly it didn't feel like it had to try as hard to keep up with everyone else. Ill be ordering a Gibson soon and can't wait to see what they will do together.

I am waiting for the KKM 06+ 4.0 V6 intake kits to be back in stock so I can order asap. I will post my impressions as well;)

nice

I've had mine for a few months now. Pick up and vocals are great and I would say that 0-60 is now better, but I've seen no gain in MPG.

had mine for a couple months now on my 4.0

Love the sound, and just got dual flowmaster 40 and the sound is amazing..very close to a V8.

Waiting for them to crack the transmission code so i can get a tuner..see how fast this little v6 can run.
