Knocking??

Looking for some advice from the masses, my 93' sport starts clattering (valves?) at 4000RPM in first and second gear, Never noticed this before Can or should the valves be adjusted or could it be something else, Does not sound like a rod knock or anything like that. Maype a loud ping from Cali gas (99%water seems like) Anyway I do have a chip, headers, KKM, Flowmaster, Maybe I didn't hear it before since my last exhaust was sooo loud any advice on troublshooting will be appreciated

You should not push your Ex to 4K. My automatic never gets that high and sometimes rattles over 3K but it's much better since adding STP. It runs best between 1500 and 2500rpm. The Ex is not a sportscar but they are fun to drive. You might also consider Blue bottle STP oil additive for your ex. See my other post it may help. rc
