Larger tires

Just changed the tires on my 2002 XLS. OEM were 235/70R16 (29.2" tall).........put on 255/70R16's (30.5" tall.) Except for the error on the speedo can I expect any undo stress or increased wear on the transmission? Have heard of Explorer's having alot of problems with tranny's. Thank.

you should barley ever notice it.... i dont think a change like that would greatly effect wear on tranny.... your all good.
