Las Cruces Wheelin - 12/21/2003 - Pics

Today I hung out with people from the Las Cruces Four Wheel Drive Club.

We did the Amatista Ledges and Habenero Falls Trails just outside of Las Cruces, NM.

I rode along with Tony the club president. I didn't take my truck because I'm not done putting my front differential back together.

Amatista Ledges is a moderate level trail. I recommend rock sliders. Lots of big rocks in the middle of the trail.
Habenero Falls is rate an extreme trail. Only two of the rigs present could handle the extreme obstacles on this trail.

did he have straps at the top keeping him from flopping backwards? It doesn't seem physically possible to be in that position and still have your rubber on the ground (ground being the wall? =P ) Nice pics btw

Nope, no straps. The 3rd guy came close to going over backwards.

He eventually gave up on making that waterfall. But the first two had made it.
