While attempting to swap my shackles out for the Warriors, I was halted by the upper frame-to-shackle bolt. The bolt is apparently seized into the bushing and no matter how much I turn it, the whole bushing turns. So before I take another stab at getting it out, I'd like to have some replacement bushings on hand just in case the entire bushing comes out with it. I stopped by my local Ford Part's store but they said there was no replacement for the frame bushing, only the leaf-eye bushing. Is there another source where I can get this bushing?

Thanks.

... I'm replacing my stock shackles for new Warrior shackles. The bolt that mounts the shackle to the frame is seized into the bushing... in the frame. Need a new bushing.

I purchased a leaf spring bushing kit from energy suspension. The upper rear bushing you describe was included with the kit, but I wasn't 100% sure it would fit, so I didn't install it. The kit was for first gen explorers. The rear leaf bushing worked, but the front leaf bushing that was included was too small in diameter. I was 98% sure it would work, but because I didn't know where I could get another one, I didn't want to risk not being able to drive my vehicle.

try this

you can buy the bushing single with a steel insert on e-bay an im sure others have umm too . try pressing it out if you have one of these .:D

hmm.. I wonder if they sell just the bushing by itself.

Do you remember the Ebay seller?

I believe I have the bushing you need- I have two energy suspension bushing kits, I had to have two for my superlift springs. The problem is I have two different sizes of bushings, I am not sure which ones you'd need.

these are a PITA to get out of the frame
an air chissle works decent, get some ear plugs and prepare to have your teeth vibrated out of your head

That is what they look like as far as I remember, having the steel outer part. If you buy the kit from ES though, it doesn't include the metal sleeves. You just burn or chisel out the rubber part and install a new bushing while leaving the sleeve intact.

130113433573 ok heres the item number for the bushing you just have to know you bolt size 1/2 9/16 it may say jeep their but if they fit they fit , i dint look for others but im sure they on other parts of e-bay if you look:thumbsup:

Well thankfully I managed to get the bolt out without having to press the bushing out. It looked like it was the same bushing that was in the leaf spring eye to me. It was very small with the metal tube running through it.

Ok, I looked up that part on ebay and it looks right. Looks like I will need 2 of those bushing sleeves for inside the frame, and then the 2 frame/shackle bushings. What about the bushings in the leaf spring on the shackle side? It would be really cool if energy suspension allowed individual bushing orders. Does anyone know if they do?

So the first gen shackle bushings will work in a 2nd gen?

Edit:
Just found this set of shackle bushings. Looks like they will work. Any input?

Then there is this kit. Which one should I go with?
