Could be the O rings. From what I've heard the retaining clips that come with new radiators are not that great. I've seen youtube videos where people take the clips out of the old radiator to use in the new radiator. I think some of the guys on here have fitted their radiators with the standard threaded connections. Search around this site for some post on it if you think you might want to go that route.

Thanks for the help. Old radiator is gone. It was replaced 3 months ago. This just started leaking. Already being told by shops..."need a new radiator!" without checking the o-rings. Thanks again for your post

so what would the part # for the o rings be? just in cause mine starts to act up down the road.

Well here was the fix for my 2006 Eddie Bauer leaking quick connect transmission cooling lines. Went to well known ford dealer (Galpin, Kalifornia) They refused to sell me the connector that threads into the bottom of the rad without selling me a WHOLE NEW RADIATIOR!!!!!! I went to Autozone and purchased the connector for $29.00 and replaced it myself in 10 minutes. The problem was the fins inside the connector that came with the new radiator. They were in some way, tweaked and allowed a leak. All is well now. Piss-off Galpin

Need to replace the quick connect on an 07 Mountaineer. How did you get the tube out of the quick connect?
