Hey guys starting installing a led light bar behind the grill of my 1997 mountaineer.
Light bar is a 22inch 126watt Cree led light bar spot and flood combo.

Needed to modify the plastic support a lil bit to move the light bar back some.

In cause I wanna know how bright this light bar is. I've been eyeing one for a while but not sure its exactly bright enough for me.

I definitely wanna see that lit up at night!!

My buddy has a 4 foot one so yes it is much bigger but the thing is amazing! He can turn his headlights off and you can't tell... I'm dead serious in that too. It's that bright. Even at half the size it's gonna be really bright. That being said the grill will block some of the light

Apparently it is 10,800 lumens but we shall see exactly what that translates into at night.

42inch 16,900 lumen....... Holy S**T its bright

First let me say wow man love you truck! Not a fan of the light bar being so high and catching branches in the woods and being pretty much useless in fog or snow. I bought my truck as a mostly bad weather and woods truck. I wanted to put the bar lower so in heavy fog or snow it didn't just light it all up in front of the windshield and blind me but the grill is the only real safe hideaway.

I totally agree about it being high. The light up there is great and I could not pass up the price I paid. I will be moving it to roof level with a cage built around it. What length lights are you using? I would be interested in doing the same set up.

Had to make my own relay kit and switch for it since the light bar came with just the light bar so I used stuff I had laying around. Ended up using a 40amp relay and a cheap lighted switch I had laying around.

It barely draws on the battery too which is nice I don't wanna be burning up alternators.

There will for sure be some people getting a nice flash from this at night most likely brake checkers, high beams, and last but not least people with hids in halogen housings. Can't stand when people run hids in anything except a projector and don't aim them down lol

I totally agree. I really hate the cheapo eBay colored LED

Did you get the light from superbrightleds?

I got the light off eBay. My buddy has the bigger bar on his cummins and it's been over a year for him still going strong.

The light bar is 12,600 lumens not 10,800 by the way. I put the wrong lumens up top.

Looks great deffinatley my next mod after the rear window swap this spring
