i recently had to redo my LED reverse lights because the old ones started blinking and eventually went out... heres the new and a picture of the old ones... u can see where the diodes were fried because the old resistors werent limiting enough current

i put hot glue over all the circuitry to make sure there was no corrosion... figured that mite have been part of the problem since they were blinking... 2nd pic is out of the drivers mirror

Wow, that looks really good. How difficult was that?

well i already did it once haha so about 30 mins for both boards... the glueing was about 15 mins so around 45... the first time took me forever because it was unknown territory... after once its not too bad

if anyone wants pics of the original LED conversion let me know... ive got em

What kind of leds are those and what the rating on those resistors? Also looks like you have 3 leds wired in series correct?

I was going to put a set of lights under my bumper so i could see better when backing up. Perhaps this is a better solution since it looks like those LED conversions look brighter then regular bulbs.

Oops my browser froze so i didn't get to finish posting my message the firs time.

i got the LEDs from ebay... 10mm 265Kmcd (i personally think they arent quite that luminous because the next below it was around 150Kmcd)... the resistors i had before were 6.8ohm 1/4 watt but they got fried so i had to step up... the new ones are 10ohm 1/2 watt... and yes the new boards r still 3 rows with 3 LEDs each, 9 total... this was my original set of 50 (26 bucks off ebay)

very much so better than regular incandescent... the plug-and-play LEDs dont even come close to that bright... seen others compared and self-installation and expirimentation is the best route... although auxilary lights would help and would be a bit easier in a way

How does it compare to regular bulbs?

left is incandescent and right is 9 LEDs... i mite have not gotten the entire left side but u can already tell they are much more direct in pointing the light... incandescent bulbs are made to shoot light in every direction... LEDs have a dome shape to focus the light rite on the tip and shoot that direction (unless u grind them down to make them more discreet)
