Pics of Sub Boxes

This is just a throw in, an old box I had for my Escape. Right over 3 cu ft tuned to 36 hz with a little more than 50" of port.

Here is what is in the box - Nightshade 15
SDC10089.jpg

Here is the power for it, havent been able to put it on the meter but I would expect a 45-47 since the tuning is so low.

my first setup.. don't mind the wires, they were for the tv tuner on my old concept indash screen.. and don't mind the cobra radar detector (that got replaced real fast with the passport 8500 x50 in blue)

my second setup.. still rockin a carpeted box, but i was getting tired of the carpeted boxes, so i decided to get a fiberglass box

in with the new setup.. got rid of the concept indash screen and replaced it with an alpine ivad300 pulse touch ..

Heres one i built about a year ago for a friend. I talked him into getting rid of those T1's and getting some AA Havocs, which is what he did. Ill be building my box for my 18's pretty soon. ill maske sure to post the pics

Heres another one i built for his girlfriend. Loudest pair of 10's ive heard.
I have a couple more, but cant find the pics.

Here is my speaker box I made for my 98 explorer! I got 6 10" JL Audio w0's with a JL Audio 1000/1 Amp.

I love the amp, and in my opinion, its way underrated. Never once had a problem with it, and it can push those subs like crazy.

I dont have the money to get a better box, this is what it will pretty much look like again when im done

this is my little set up. nothin crazy, but it gets the job done.
i need as much trunk space as possible. i go wheelin, not crusin.
please excuse the crappy cell phone quality.

Im considering doing something smaller to get some of my cargo space back. or something that would protect the subs from anything thats loose in the back. Also something that would conceal a lot more of the wiring.

nothing fancy but they hit harder than youd think powered by a kicker zx amp

Finally replacing my DD 12's that were stolen last year. Heck, it's almost been exactly a year without any boom in my ride. :'-(

Box volume is 1.445 cubic feet per sub.
Port volume is 0.321 cubic feet per sub.
Port tuned to 36.56 hertz.

Don't worry, the prefab enclosure is JUST temporary. Just until I can design and build a new box that will do these subs justice. The manufacturer specs the subs as needing 2.5 cubic feet each. I bought the box based on Atrend's listed specs and those are WAAAAAAAAAAY off.

Got some temporary boom for my 95 X to hold me over till I get a chance to wall it off. =D

Thats pretty close to what i was going to do. what size sub is that and do you have any other pics?

Its a 10". I have to take it out to put deadener on the rear quarter so maybe this week i'll shoot a pic of box when its out. It looks like ****(dont have a table saw) but is completely sealed. The hard part was having it together and having to sand the inside walls to allow the magnet to fit because the hole for the sub is too high up.
