I have a '03 Sprot Trac with a 4.0L. On the rear of the LH valve cover, there is a hose about inch and half diameter that is supposed to plug into the valve cover, but mine is soo loose it just fell out and oil is leaking.
What the heck is this for? PCV maybe? Couldn't tell where the hose went, but runs to pass side and there is another hose that looks like it's about 3/8 and goes to the heater core lines??
Anybody know what this is for and how I can seal it up so it quits leaking oil onto the manifold?
Thanks

I'll ck in the morining. But my air box is on the RH (pass side) and this hose is on the LH (drivers side)

Ok, I went to the Ford dealer this morning and it is the pcv valve. It is supposed to screw into the valve cover. They were cool enough to have a tech look at it and he said that the valve cover probably needs to be replaced as it's thin metal and a new pcv won't hold. What do you think?
