My 08 explorer came with free lifetime Sirius satellite radio from the dealer/factory. It still has the original OEM ford head unit. I would like to change it out for a modern head unit that has Apple car play. If I were to change from the OEM head unit to an aftermarket one, would I loose the free lifetime Sirius radio?

I believe the module for the satellite radio is located on the passenger side foot area. Would an aftermarket headunit be able to interface with the stock satellite radio module?

You pay 75 bucks every time you swap out an existing radio in a vehicle or move to a different vehicle. We don't lose the Lifetime Subscription which is good news at least.
