Lifted Sport Tracs Picture Thread!

i turned my torsions down. i only turned them down because my new rear leafpacks have settled a fair bit, which is why i'm looking at shackles now to compensate.

If your leafs are settling that much than I'd look into the add a leaf instead of the lift shackles. They give the same amount of lift but the add a leaf is far cheaper and won't make your leafsprings flatten out, they'll actually strengthen them as a whole. JMO.

Thanks Gse Brent, Nice cutting pics!. pretty much spent all day trimming and everything is all clear. At full lock when the steering wheel is cranked it will rub the sway bar a bit. But isn't a problem so far. So, right now it sits level the torsion bars were twisted just a little to level out the stance. But now i'm thinking maybe I want the back end up a little higher. Would lifting the back end up a tad higher be something that people would do? Either with shackles or add a leaf. Also, the front tires stick out a little more than the back, what about wheel spacers in the back so the back match the front. So far has been a lot of fun, just thinking of a few tweaks, or maybe just leave it. What do you all think?

Im on my phone so can't post pics but there's a couple in my registry and I have a rake with the back a little higher of you want to see what it looks like on an ST. For lifting the back just a little i'd say do the add a leafs. Most people get around 2" or 1.75 with those.

Man that trac looks good. Jealous because I've got that same color and lift, but I won't have 33s for a looong time. But i have also thought about doing the spacers in the rear only, think it would make a huge difference.

I have spacers on the rear only. Made the stance perfect IMO. I'm on my phone but I do have pictures of what that looks like probably in my registry but definitely on my photobucket.

hey rebel. mine already has the add a leaf and a massive helper. its got 6leafs total now in each pack. and its still settling like crazy. i'm speculating chinese metal. but a shackle lift is what i'm looking for next. just to get it back up in the air.

I have spacers rear only too. 1.25" on both sides and like the look.

I did the shackle lift in the rear and i personally wouldnt put wheel spacers on the front.

I ran spacers on the front when I had 32s but I'm not crazy enough to have them on the front with 35s.

Yea you got to take into consideration all that extra weight your hauling around. My tire/wheel combo weigh in about 115lbs each.

Ratbiker, if it's settling that bad with add a leafs and helper then I'd get the main leaf replaced. Sounds like its worn out bad, lift shackles will only make it worse. Just saying. My old leafsprings were arching backwards after years of towing, hauling and offroading. I plan on redrilling new holes to make it stock heights shackles and adding a add a leaf. Hopefully by the end of the summer.

Got a new phone this week (replaced LG Octane, yeah...) and got around to playing with Instagram. Trial shots in my driveway.

Nice Hugh!!!

Thanks. I tried another.

The red clay is dry and packed as hard as pavement. I have to say the KM2s do better in soupy, nasty red clay mud than they do on the scorched clay. Wasn't going to air down for the 5 minutes of playing around, though.

Added another.

Nice! That's what my fiance uses to edit pics on her phone. I have never used it (stuck in the past with a non-smart phone) but it looks like it can do some cool stuff. Here's a pic she took this weekend-

Yeah, my wife made me join the 21st Century. I was content with a phone that, well, made phone calls, *gasp*. Got the Droid Razr Maxx. It has two Xs, so I know it's awesome! Still learning how to use everything on it.

Cool picture! Showing some rear flex.

Instagram turns those high quality HDR pics into gritty vintage pieces of art :D lol. To each their own. I use the photobucket editor to sharpen everything and take out my tracs scratches on the front bumper haha.

That's the point for me. The gritty photos hide the battle scars. Its like the old paintings of George Washington. Captures him perfectly. What would an old warrior with wooden teeth and a powdered wig look like in HD?

I'll save HD for the cougar.

Mmmmmmmmm cougar. Lol.

Well, I had a terrible 14 hour work day. And for one of my jobs I observe and rate construction for the campus. They had me observing a new highway being built about 2 minutes from my second job. So it's 11:30 and I drove out there to have some fun. I'm sure it's frowned upon, but the area was clear, they just finished the clearing process and the tracks I made were in marked up areas anyway...

Oh ya, phone pictures suck at night! I tried touching these up to make them more observable.

I was happy with how It worked. My eBay bull bar took a hit too and held up great. A little dent but nothing terrible. The plasti dip on th rear bumper held up for the most part too.
EDIT: this shows the steep-ness. Lol. Forgot to take off my mud flaps.
